This has limited functionality and *really* needs some maintenance!

Update 17 NOV 2005: Access to the web portion of ALWGW has now been restricted to only permit connections from Ampr-net IP addresses (44.x.x.x). All of the assorted script-kiddie probes going on have been wreaking havoc on ALWGW. Many of the NOS crashes have been due to buffer overflow POST commands. It really doesn't cause any problems besides the program restarting, and therefore a temporary denial of service, but it is really annoying for users on the system.

PuTTY: A Free Telnet/SSH Client

As mentioned in this FAQ, this small, lightweight client program is far more flexible and configurable than the telnet client that ships with Windows.

Simply download the small "putty.exe" binary appropriate for your system, save it somewhere in your path (I place mine in C:\Windows or C:\WINNT depending o­n the OS), and call it from a command window by typing "putty."

FlightAware Live Flight Tracker

This is o­ne of the niftiest places I've seen for tracking any flight within the United States that has a flight plan filed. You can look at specific airports, specific flights, query tail numbers, and so o­n, all in near-real time. If you have an interest in aviation, you should check it out...
